Write an argument between an atheist and a theist about whether God exists, referring to the two arguments for the existence of God from the appearance of the world (ie the Design Argument and the Causation Argument).
You could start:
Theist: God must exist. After all, how else could the world be here?
Atheist: Scientists have shown that the world probably began with a big bang …
Theist: But think about it. If you found a watch on a beach, you wouldn’t think it had just appeared there - you would assume that someone had designed it. After all, it’s so complex - just like our world.
(Note: A theist is a person who believes that God exists. An atheist is a person who believes that no God exists.)
